Important News, ADAs, Art Contest, and More
We have a plethora of updates regarding an art contest, ADAs, and other important club news!
T-Shirt and Poster Art Contest
Starting today (2/14) and ending in two weeks (2/28) is our new art contest! Art submitted will be considered for new club shirts and new club advertising and media. There are only a few rules: 1) art must maintain a theme of the MTSU Anime Club, with usage of the Bagman mascot encouraged, 2) no adult content, and 3) permission and rights to use the art are shared with the club (this is just for the club’s protection). In return, not only do you help your favorite club, but each person who contributes is given the opportunity to contribute anime in various Member’s Choice slots throughout the semester, the order and method of which to be determined later. To submit art, attach and email it to mtsuac@gmail.com!
Also, we have ADA dates! Further details will be revealed later, as the events come closer.
Spring ADA Schedule
Saturday, February 27
Saturday, March 27 Saturday, March 20
Saturday, April 17
Though the details are not yet finalized, we are planning two parties thus far, the first being a White Day Party, likely to take place Saturday, March 13 or Sunday, March 14, and a Year-End Party and Cosplay Contest, likely to take place Saturday, April 10. Like I said, these details are not final and are very subject to change. Expect more details as they come.
Also, since MTAC falls on the weekend of exams, many of us will be asking to take Friday exams early. To assist in requesting this, official statements regarding the importance of MTAC to club members will be available at the next meeting.
The next meeting will be an important one, as due to the resignation of Richard “J.R.” Scott, the former Secretary, nominations for club Secretary will occur during the Announcement/Introduction block. Also, we will be taking written suggestions for both the club and a dual suggestion/vote opportunity for the second Running Series slot, in the event club members would like to see something other than a second episode of Welcome to the NHK each week.
And that’s about it for now! Expect to see, upon popular request, the official schedule for Wednesday meetings within a few days.
